Paper Wreaths : A fun Christmas craft for kids is to make wreaths out of their hand prints. All that you do is trace out your child’s hand or use finger paint to make a print of the hand multiple times. You will then cut out the hand shape and arrange them one next to each other with a little bit of an overlap where they can be adhered to each other. Repeat this process, continuing to overlap one hand on the next in a circular shape. Keep the palm of the hand on the inside of the circle so that the finger tips act as the foliage of the wreath. Using more hands on a smaller wreath makes the wreath look more lush. Using lots of hands on a circle with a larger radius (or where the hands are just barely overlapping) makes a larger paper wreath.
Don’t stop with just these suggestions; try thinking of some of your own Christmas paper crafts. Ask your children for their input and let them express themselves artistically. Who knows, you may start a fun family holiday tradition!
