Reindeer and Snowman Droppings

Switch to Desktop/Mobile View

Teens enjoy giving gifts around Christmas time just like adults do. However, teens do not always have access to the kinds of budgets that adults have. Although some teens do have jobs and make their own money, it is difficult to find a way to buy all of the gifts that they want to give to their friends. Image is very important for teens and they may show reluctance to making a Christmas craft for fear that they will be perceived as cheap or that the gift will be looked down on. For this reason, introducing the idea of making Christmas crafts to give as gifts may not be received very well. So to help teens realize that there are plenty of neat things that you can make, but that do not necessarily look cheap or homemade, some suggestions are listed below.

Reindeer and Snowman Droppings (and Hot Cocoa)

Teens tend to lean more towards favoring the funny or amusing Christmas gifts rather than the overly sentimental gifts. For this reason, making and giving reindeer and snowman droppings (and hot cocoa) is popular with teenagers. All that you do to make this Christmas gift is get chocolate candies (Whoppers or Milk Duds work well) for the reindeer droppings and miniature marshmallows for the snowman droppings and put them in a bag with a decorative bow. In another bag add hot cocoa mix that you have made yourself or bought and close that with a ribbon. Attach a comical note explaining what the gift is supposed to be. If you wish to make the gift more substantial, put the cocoa and “droppings” in a mug. Even the most un-creative teen can put this craft together.
