As the holiday season rolls around there are thousands of crafts out there for kids and adults to do. If you’re into religion, there are also year round crafts you can choose from to help enrich a lesson or just to do with your kids on a rainy day. Some are great teaching tools, while others are just fun to make. When it comes to the New Testament there are several different crafts that you can do with your kids and some they can even do on their own. Here are some great ideas for New Testament Bible Crafts.

Jesus Walks on the Water

Since Jesus Christ is the central part of the New Testament there are several crafts you can do with your kids to help reinforce teaching a principle or just to add to a lesson or activity. To help children really visualize when Jesus walked on the water you can create you own visual aid. Here’s what you will need:

• Two different colors of blue paper; one for the water and another for the sky
• A paper cut out of Jesus
• A paper cut out of a simple boat

Then all you have to do is start cutting. You can lay one piece of blue paper against your background, cut out some waves, place Jesus behind the waves and then place the boat on the water. You can also attach the scripture reference to the paper so that kids know where to find the story.
