Times that surround a holiday provide unique opportunities to change up your regular routine and do something more creative. The time surrounding Halloween is no exception. In addition to the pumpkin carving and corn maze racing that you will do, why not add making crafts to the list. Bat crafts are a fun way of occupying time and bat crafts can be used to decorate your home for Halloween as well. Bat crafts are unique in that you can easily make your bat craft more or less scary, depending on the age and maturity level of the child that is making the craft. Bat Chips

This craft is a fun way to dress up a traditional Mexican meal by doing something a little more special. With a cookie cutter and a little effort, you can turn plain tortillas into bat chips. All that you do if cut out the bat shapes from the tortilla chips and fry them in a pan. If you have little experience in the kitchen or have never fried anything before, it is probably wise to read up on these techniques before trying this craft.
