Beginners’ Christmas Card Craft

Switch to Desktop/Mobile View

Scrapbookers are finding a natural foray into card-making using their scraps of paper and rubber stamps to create one of a kind cards. Whether you have scrapbooking experience or this will be your first card this cheery Christmas card is easy to put together with only a few supplies from your local craft store.

What you will need:

Cardstock for the card (any color will do)
2 scraps of cardstock in a coordinating color
Decorative holiday themed brad (stars or holly shapes work well)
Small decorative holiday stickers to match your paper
Access to a computer
Glue

Instructions for the project: Begin by cutting the cardstock for your card into an 8 ½ x 5 ½ inch shape. Fold the card in half. This will be the base of your card. Cut one piece of coordinating cardstock into a 1 ½ x 5 ½ inch strip. Glue the strip horizontal across the front of your card. Use your computer to print a holiday message on the other piece of coordinating cardstock. Make sure that your message is no bigger than 1 x 5 ½ inches. Cut out around your message and glue onto the top of the strip that is already on top of your card. (If you do not have access to a computer you can hand print or use letter stickers to do your holiday message.) Punch the brad through the top of your card next to your holiday message. Use your stickers to decorate the front of your card and you are all done!
