ABCCrafting can be a lot of fun. When you’re searching for activities the entire family can do together, certain crafts fit that criteria. Here are some alphabet craft ideas for the whole family.

Alphabet Turkey

What you’ll need:

Instructions for the Project:

  1. First, find a template of a turkey’s body. Basically, you need a head and body template or you can draw your own turkey body and then copy it for the children to use.
  2. Secondly, either use brown construction paper for the body or have the children paint or color the body brown.
  3. Next, have the children glue eyes, a beak and feet on the basic body.
  4. Once you’ve done this, create tail feathers for the turkey by either making individual turkey feathers or you can make a larger fan and a smaller fan to cover the tail feathers.
  5. Have the children write down the letters of the alphabet on the tail feathers and then glue them in order on the turkey.

ABC book of Mom

What you’ll need:

Instructions for the Project:

  1. First, the child needs to draw the letters of the alphabet. It is recommended that the child draw one on each page and leave the other side blank.
  2. Secondly, the child needs to draw a picture for each letter of the alphabet which reminds them of their mom. Older children can actually write down words that start with that letter in addition to drawing pictures. Children can use old magazines or pictures to substitute for a drawing.
  3. Finally, color in the drawings and add embellishments to make the book fancier.
