Easter is coming and spring is right behind it! Eggs and baskets are synonymous with Easter. Many people’s Easter preparations include doing crafts.

These are some Easter craft ideas:

Egg Garden

Display your Easter eggs with this centerpiece of craft flowers. Create as many flowers as you like.

Materials
* Craft foam in green for leaves and stems and other colors for flower petals
* Cardboard tube (e.g. a toilet paper tube)
* Scissors
* Masking tape
* Eggs, real or plastic
* Sandwich bag
* Uncooked rice or beans

Instructions
1. Cut a pair of petal patterns from craft foam. To make the center hole, trace the end of a cardboard tube, then cut out the circle.
2. To make the stem, glue a piece of green craft foam around the cardboard tube. Use masking tape to secure it until the glue dries.
3. Push the foam-covered stem through the holes in the foam petals. Use an egg for the flower center.
4. Fill the sandwich bag with uncooked rice or beans and place it inside the stem to anchor it.

Carrot Tree

This mini indoor tree is a great decorative piece for Easter.

Materials

* Several 12-inch orange chenille pipe cleaners
* Several 4-inch lengths of green embroidery floss
* Newspaper
* Bare tree branch, 10-12 inches long
* Small flower pot
* Decorative stones, glass beads or Easter grass

Instructions
1. Cut several of the orange pipe cleaners into quarters, creating four 3-inch pieces per cleaner. Each piece should have a wider part at its center.
2. Shape each piece into a carrot by folding over about ½ inch at one end and tying on several 4-inch lengths of green embroidery floss at the bend. Trim the floss, if necessary, to resemble green leaves.
3. Slip a loop of floss or string under the folded end for a hanger. Fold up the bottom tip of the pipe cleaner as well.
4. Use balled-up newspaper to support the branch so it can stand upright in the flower pot. Add a layer of decorative stones, glass beads, or Easter grass and then hang the pipe cleaner carrots on the branch.

Clothespin Easter Bunny

These little Easter bunnies can be made out of clothespins and other craft materials.

Materials
* Clothespins
* Acrylic or craft paint in white, blue, yellow or pink Note: If you want a boy bunny use blue or yellow; otherwise use white or pink.
* 3 ½ ” white pipe cleaner or chenille stem
* Small scraps or pieces of craft fun foam, felt, or construction paper in white, pink and orange
* Craft glue
* Permanent sharp marker

Instructions

1. Paint clothespin in a base coat of white; let dry.
2. Paint another coat of white if you’d like the bunny to be traditional. If you’d like to make a boy, paint the upper half yellow and the legs blue, leaving the head and feet white. Paint a second coat of white to head and feet.
3. Draw on a face, including eyes, nose, and whiskers with fine point markers or paint, using a detail brush.
