Since most craft projects are done with kids it makes sense that most people are looking for a variety of easy crafts. The reason for this is that the easier the craft is the more likely it is that children can do it on their won, which means you can do it with a large group of children. Here are some easy butterfly crafts that you can do with kids.
Dotty Butterfly
Materials
2 pink paper plates – 6 ¾ inch
4 black pom-poms – 1 inch each
2 inch black pom-pom
Black chenille stem
Pom-poms in assorted colors and sizes
10 to 12 inches of colored string
Scissors
Craft glue
Instructions
- Cut both plates so that you are creating 4 wing shapes and set them aside
- Glue the four 1 inch pom-poms to each other end to end
- Glue the 2 inch pom-pom at the end of this row
- Bend a black chenille stem in half and curl each end of the stem around your finger
- Apply a dab of glue to the bent part of the stem
- Press the bent part of the stem deep into the large pom-pom
- Hold it in place until the glue has time to take hold
- Set it aside to dry completely
- Glue different sizes and colors of pom-poms on to the wings to decorate them
- Glue all four wings to the underside of the black pom-pom body
- Set aside to dry
- Glue both ends of a length of string into the back of the head so that you can create a loop for hanging
- Allow to dry and then you can hang it up anywhere you choose
