This is a different take on the traditional paper plate snowman. This craft would work especially well for older kids or more experienced crafters.
What you will need:
- 3 paper plates for each snowman
- Assorted colors of tissue paper (including white)
- Scissors
- Craft glue
- Staples or glue to attach the plates
Instructions for the project:
Attach the three paper plates together to form the snowman shape. Begin by cutting or tearing several pieces of tissue paper in a variety of colors. Pour the craft glue out onto another paper plate. Begin by having the crafters dip pieces of tissue paper into the glue and onto the snowman. They should make the base of the snowman white but any color is fine. Once the bottom color is dried the kids can than add black tissue paper for a hat, eyes and buttons on the snowman. Orange tissue paper can be used for the nose and whatever color they want for the mouth. Encourage the kids to use a mosaic effect in applying the tissue paper. When done let dry completely and then hang.
