This craft can let you and your kids really use your imagination.
What you will need:
- Pencils
- Chenille Stems
- Pom-poms
- Wiggle Eyes
- Glue
Instructions for the project: Cut a chenille stem in half (when cutting chenille stems, you should use a finger nail clipper or old scissors). Wrap one end of the chenille stem around the eraser end of the pencil so that it looks like a spiral. Be sure to leave about 1-inch of one end of the chenille stem poking up above the eraser; place a dab of glue on this end and poke a pom-pom onto it. Now you have the base to make your creature. Add the wiggle eyes to the pom-pom so it looks like a little critter. You can also add arms and/or legs by using chenille stems. If you have scrap pieces of felt you can give your pencil top critter a nose, mouth, ears, and whatever else you can dream up!
