These are a fun preschool Valentine’s Day craft, and make a great gift for parents or grandparents. Your preschooler will have a blast making it, and even more fun giving it.
What You Need:
- Clay
- Cookie Cutters
- Safety Pin
- Paint
Roll the clay out, and have the child use the cookie cutters to make a heart shape out of it. Then, let them take other bits of clay to decorate their heart. Then, push a pin into the back of the clay. Back the clay so that it hardens, and the pin gets stuck in it, let it cool, and then let the kids pain or decorate it more if they wish. Let dry, and give as a gift!
There are several more preschool age crafts you can make, just remember, Valentine’s Day is about hearts, cupid, and love, so help them make anything that expresses this. A tried and true preschool craft project for Valentine’s Day is letting them make their own valentine cards from construction paper, glue, and other fun little decorations like stickers, buttons, lace, etc. They will have a blast making a special card for their parent, or neighbor, or grandparent. You might have to help them write their message out, but let them sign their own name and decorate the outside of the card however they wish.
