Most kids think of St. Patrick’s day as the day they get to pinch people for not wearing green. Give them other reasons to celebrate using the following fun craft ideas:

St. Patty’s Day Hat:
St. Patrick’s Day is all about things like “Kiss me I’m Irish,” shamrocks for good luck, rainbows with pots of gold, and leprechauns granting wishes. So, help your kids get in the spirit of it with a hat.

You will need:

Start by cutting a three inch strip of green paper that fits around the head of the child. This is going to be the base of the hat. Glue it together so that it fits around your forehead.

Next, using construction paper, create a rainbow, a leprechaun, a pot of gold, and a shamrock. Small versions are important here, make them no bigger than 2.5×2.5 inches.

Now cut them out, and attach them to pipe cleaners using tape. Then attach the pipe cleaners to the hat. Wha la, you have a great holiday hat.
