Old King Cole Crowns:
Materials needed:
•Heavy paper
•Collage materials
•Glue
•Scissors
Directions:
•First you are going to want to cut crown shapes out of the heavy paper.
•Then place a variety of collage materials out on the table for the children to use. The items can include buttons, gems, lace, paper, macaroni, etc.
•Have the children glue the decorations onto their crowns as they want.
•Once the glue dries staple the crown so it fits the child’s head
Twinkle Stars:
Materials needed:
•Star stamp
•Cookie cutter star shape
•Sponge star shaped
•Paint
•Glitter
•Black paper
Directions:
•Mix yellow paint with glitter to make the sparkly stars.
•Use stamps, cookie cutters and sponges to actually make the star prints.
•You are going to want to dip the cookie cutters, sponges or stamps into the yellow paint with glitter and then press them down onto black paper so that the stars are on a night sky.
Or you can have star shapes cut out and have the children glue on glitter and sparkles to make the star twinkle. Then punch a hole in the top of the star and string some yarn through it so they can hang the stars
