Miniature Paper Mache Pumpkins

What you will need:

Instructions for the project: Start by making your support shape for your miniature pumpkin. Dilute your glue so that it is somewhat runny. Tear some strips from your tissue paper. Keep in mind that smaller shapes make smoother pumpkins. Begin dipping the pieces into the glue and applying to your pumpkin shape. Keep adding layers until your pumpkin is dry and not drippy. You will need at least 5 layers but when you think your pumpkin is thick enough let it dry completely. When your pumpkin is completely dry you can tie the thread around it to create the bumps in the sides of the pumpkin. Now you can have your child paint the pumpkin. After the paint is completely dry have an adult snip off the thread. The child can now use the craft paper and glue to attach a stem. If you want to hollow out the pumpkin you can use scissors to cut off the top and take the stuffing inside out. These also look darling left whole and displayed.
