Bug File Folder

You can easily print out a bunch of different math problems and other things online. Use these various templates to create a math file folder that also uses bugs to help the child learn how to count. Take some of the various bugs your kids are exploring outside. In the springtime it seems that the ladybug tends to be very popular. Use the ladybug to create a fun math game by having the ladybug become a counting tool. Print off several ladybugs online and then laminate them in order to have stand up through all the moving and wear and tear they will go through. For younger children keep the number of ladybugs smaller so it’s easier for them to count and to identify them. Write the numbers on the ladybugs as this will really help your children to recognize their numbers. Not only does this help with counting, it also helps with their matching abilities. Older children may need a little more challenging so consider creating a dotted path that their lady bug will move up along as they learn how to do the various equations in order to move the bugs along.
