Cylindrical Holiday DecorationsOatmeal container crafts provide a great opportunity for a family to do something together. Oatmeal container crafts can be easy enough for each person to make a craft on their own or complicated to the point that everyone can have their own part in making the end product great. Below is an example of a craft activity that all members of the family can create on their own.

Oatmeal Container Jack-O-Lanterns and Ghosts

Making oatmeal containers into fun cylindrical decorations for the holidays is easy to do. For the younger members of the family, allow them to paint the container orange for a pumpkin or white for a ghost and then they can also paint the scary faces on the container. Older children and adults can use a knife or razor cutter to actually carve the oatmeal container, just like you would carve a pumpkin. A small battery operated light in the bottom of the container gives your final product that perfect ghoulish glow.
