Fun Clay Pot Centerpiece

This craft is great for kids who want to help in decorating your tables. It can become a fall, Halloween, or Thanksgiving item, depending on your preference.

You will need:

•tacky glue
•various fall-colored acrylic paints and paintbrush
•ribbon (yellow or orange)
•1 clay pot
•Black permanent marker
•Small piece of floral foam
•scissors and a ruler
•q-tips or cotton swabs

Here’s what you do:

1.Decide whether what you’d like to decorate on your pot (a scary pumpkin, leaves, acorns, ghost, etc).

2.Paint your pot the desired item. Use the marker to draw faces on the pot or outlines of leaves. Use the ribbon to make bows on the necks of ghosts, or simply for an accent on a leaf pot.

3.When you’ve finished, glue the floral foam to the bottom of the pot. Cover the foam with Spanish Moss or crimped paper. Put something in the pot (treats, leaves, etc).
