Clay Pot Apple

Switch to Desktop/Mobile View

The clay pot apple is a fun way for your child to express their gratitude to their school teacher, neighbor, or even grandparent.

You will need:
3 inch terracotta clay pot
3 inch terracotta clay saucer
Small wooden spool
Felt
Acrylic red and green paint
Clear acrylic sealer spray
Hot glue gun
Wiggle eyes

Begin by wiping down your terracotta clay pot with a damp cloth and allow it to dry. Then, paint the clay pot and saucer red and paint the wooden spool green. Turn the saucer upside down when it is dry, this will be the lid for your apple. Glue the wooden spool onto the bottom of the saucer. Glue the wiggle eyes to one side of the pot and paint a smile on the apple. Once the paint is dry, spray the pot and saucer with the clear sealant. Then, cut a small leaf out of the felt and glue it to the wooden spool.
