Most people think of bandanas as something you wear on your head, or if you are a cowboy. However, bandanas can be used to create a number of fun craft projects. The following are a few of the things you can make with a bandana:
Bandana wreath: These wreathes are very cute and homey. They make great door hangers any time of year. You can make a Christmas themed one using Christmas print bandanas or red and green. You can make a summer one using summer colors. So, make a number of them to decorate your door all year round.
Here is what you’ll need:
- A bandana or two so that you can have two different colors, but if you use two, cut them in half.
- Scissors
- 4″ metal ring
- Accessories to decorate
Instructions for the project:
- Start by cutting or tearing the bandana into strips. They should be approximately ¾ of an inch wide and 4 and ½ inches long. This is the best width for optimal aesthetic appeal.
- Now take these strips of bandana and tie and knot them around the 4 inch metal wring. For a thicker wreath, use extra bandana strips.
- Once all the strips are tied on, you can use beads, charms, and other things to decorate the wreath further. Then, hang it on your door and enjoy.
