If you are a fan of nursery rhymes, chances are you have nursery rhyme crafts or props that you use when you read the nursery rhymes to children. Creating nursery rhyme décor crafts are fun and easy to do with the right tools.

You can take an old lampshade and make it into a nursery rhyme décor crafts by adding pompom balls to the bottom of the shade. Then, paint the actual shade baby blue and add a picture of a cow jumping over a moon.

Another nursery rhyme décor craft is to take an ordinary clock and change the background to be a nursery rhyme.

Many people like to cross-stitch. You can find patterns of nursery rhyme cross-stitches at your local craft store. Pick your favorite nursery rhyme and cross-stitch it and then you can frame the cross-stitch and hang it on your wall.

Another cute nursery rhyme décor craft is to remove your light switch covers and paint the characters from nursery rhymes on them. You can transform a boring white light switch cover into little Miss Muppet or Humpty Dumpty.

If you are a fan of Humpty Dumpty, make a large laminated copy of the nursery rhyme. Then you can make a set for when you read the nursery rhyme to others. You will need a plastic egg and a piece of cardboard or building blocks and some small toy soldiers to act as the “king’s men”. You can leave this out on display for everyone to see.

A popular idea for nursery rhyme décor is to cut out the word “dream” from a large piece of wood or you can purchase this from your local craft store. On each different letter you can paint a different nursery rhyme to display what you will be dreaming of tonight!
