Mary (the one who is “quite contrary”) had a lovely garden full of flowers. You can help your little ones create a fun garden craft or even plant their own seeds in the garden. To make a paper garden you can use a number of items for the stems of your flowers. It just depends on the scale that you are looking for. For a more realistically scaled garden use straw as your stems and for a more whimsical garden use tubes like the ones you find on used toilet paper, paper towel or even wrapping paper rolls. Cut out construction paper petals to match the size of your stem and adhere the pedals with glue or by using a push pin or brad. You can then “plant” your paper flowers in the yard and create your own instant garden.
