Easter Candy Topiary

Decorating around Easter time is often times difficult for the individual with a more sophisticated palate. Instead of covering a house with decorations of bunnies and chicks, why not give a gift that is fun for the season but also little bit more adult and sophisticated. Make an Easter topiary!

Topiaries are traditionally a more formal piece that you might find in your home. Making a topiary of any kind starts in basically the same way. You will need a base of some kind. A terracotta pot painted in the color of your choice is an affordable option. And you will also need at least 1 and a half Styrofoam balls, more depending on the number of layers that you want. You will also need a wooden dowel. The half ball goes into the pot with the rounded part facing up. The dowel goes through the half ball and additional balls are placed on top of it. You decide how much space you like between the base and the ball on top of it. Now all that you do is take a glue gun and glue the candy all around the ball. You can also decorate the base of the ball by using artificial moss or Easter grass.
