Alphabet Lacing Cards

Switch to Desktop/Mobile View

Materials needed:

•Cardstock, various colors
•Hole punch
•Letter patterns
•String, yarn, any other kind of lacing material

Directions:

•The first thing that you are going to need to do is to draw large letter patterns or even find some that are available online. A great place to get the pattern for these letters is from alphabet coloring books.

•Trace each letter pattern onto the various colored cardstock and cut out the letter along the outside lines.

•After cutting out each letter take a small hand held hole punch and punch out holes along the entire outside edge of the letters. Make sure that you punch the holes in towards the letter and not right along the edge because it can cause the paper to rip.

•You will need to laminate the letters before use so that they last longer.

•Next take the string or yarn and tie a knot in one end, making sure that the knot is large enough that it will prevent the string from pulling through the hole.

•Continue lacing and unlacing each letter
