Easter time is a time that many families believe has a great deal of significance either personally or religiously. Therefore it is important to them that the day and the season of Easter be filled with time spent as a family doing things that are uplifting and bring the members of the family closer together. Many times it is difficult to think of crafts that the whole family can do together because of the varying degrees of ability that the older and younger children have. With some imagination and creative thinking, you can come up with the perfect crafts for your family. Here are a few examples of Easter crafts that you can do as a family and how no matter your ability level there are a number of ways that every member can contribute to the making of the project.

Egg carton crafts

With a simple egg carton you can make some very creative things. Because egg cartons are so inexpensive (many of us have them and simply throw them away after using them) there is no fear of messing this project up and there is no wrong way to be creative. Here are a few ideas for some of the many things that an egg carton can help you to create. One idea is to make a gift for another family where each of the egg compartments is filled with a plastic egg that has treats inside. In two or three of the egg compartments, make a simple bunny or chick figure using colored fluffy balls and a construction paper face. You can also make a number of different characters by using the individual egg cups. Cut the egg cup from the carton and turn it upside down so that it is a dome. This shape can be the base for a lady bug, a spider, the buds of a flower, or put two empty cups together to form and egg. Be creative in thinking of different ways to manipulate the carton into shapes that you may not have thought of before.
