Alphabet Blocks

Switch to Desktop/Mobile View

Materials needed:

•Box pattern
•Paper or cardstock
•Glue stick or tape
•Crayons or markers

Directions:

•The first thing that you are going to want to do is to draw a box pattern or find one on the Internet.

•If you draw the box pattern you are going to want to trace the pattern onto the wrong side of the paper or cardstock that you are using to create the alphabet blocks.

•If you find a pattern on the internet make sure that you print the pattern onto the wrong side of the paper or cardstock.

•Keep in mind that using cardstock might be a better choice because it is a thicker paper than normal paper so it will last longer and hold its shape better.

•Now cut out each block pattern, making sure that you cut along the outside edges of the pattern only.

•Next turn your paper right side up and draw letters and designs on each block to represent one letter of the alphabet

•Next fold on each line toward the wrong side of the paper. You should be able to easily tell how to construct the box as long as you are folding along the lines

•Once you have each line pre-folded place a dab of glue onto each short tab and then tuck them into place.

•If you are using tape construct the box and then tape the edges together so they don’t come apart.
