You can bring star gazing indoors with a few simple materials and a little bit of preparation. Simply gather a flashlight, some dark-colored paper, a pencil and some scissors. Trace the head of the flashlight onto the paper and cut out the circle. Use your pencil to poke holes into the paper to simulate the look of stars (a random pattern will give you a more authentic look). Place the circle over the lens of our flashlight (use some tape to secure it in place). Shine the light onto the ceiling of a dark room and enjoy. You can also try replicating specific constellations or planets by being more methodical about how you punch holes into your paper circle.
