Butterfly Flyer Kite

Materials

Sheet of standard copier paper
Ruler
Thread
Stapler
Hole punch
Scotch tape
Pencil

Instructions

• Have the kids draw a butterfly on the piece of paper and color it any way that they see fit.
• Fold the piece of paper in half
• Mark two points A and B on the folded edge of the paper
• Point A should be 2 ½ inches from the end
• Pint B should be 3 ½ inches from the end
• Fold the top corners of the page to point A. when folding the top corners do not crease the paper, just bend it back to reach the point
• Staple them in place
• Use the hole punch to punch a hole at Point B
• Attach the thread to the hole
• Now go fly the kite
