Kids love making pumpkins and this one is simply darling. Keep in mind that this craft is best done by kids ages 5 and up.
What you will need:
- Frozen Juice Can Lid
- Orange, Bumpy Chenille Stem
- Green Chenille Stem
- Scrap of Green Felt or Craft Foam
- Black Seed Beads
- Magnet
- Craft Glue
- Scissors
Instructions for the project:
Start by bending the orange, bumpy chenille stem on the skinny sections so it sort of looks like this VVVV. When you are finished pinch the folded sections together. Stick one side of the folded edges so that they catch on the inside edge of the bottle cap. Then you can stick the other folded edges inside the opposite side of the bottle cap. Be sure to fluff up the center part of the chenille stem and make it look rounded like a pumpkin. The next step is to cut a 1-inch piece of green pipe cleaner and stick it in the top of the pumpkin to be a stem. Cute two small leafs out of felt or craft foam and glue in place near the stem. Then you can make eyes, nose, and mouth out of black seed beads. As the final step glue a magnet on the back of the pumpkin.
