Polymer clay can be molded into just about anything you want. Many craft stores actually sell polymer clay necklaces and other polymer clay designs. Here are some great polymer clay craft ideas:
Stamp Pendant
This is a cute polymer clay craft that you can pass out as gifts or keep for yourself. Here are the items you will need:
White or translucent polymer clay
Small stamp (less than 1” x 1”)
Black stamp pad
Markers
Acrylic spray sealant
Pin (corsage pin)
Craft wire
Accent beads
Round nose pliers
Wire cutters
Flat/Bent nose pliers
Now to get started with your pendant; knead and roll out your clay between wax paper so that the clay is about ¼ inch thick. Peal off the clay from the paper and set it on the cutting board. Press your stamp into the ink and carefully press this into the clay. Use a knife and cut out a square around your stamped image. Use the corsage pin to make a hole at the top of the pendant. Bake all the pieces at 275 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Allow them to cool and then use markers to color in the design and background of the square. Use some wire to go through the holes in the clay pieces and spray it with acrylic sealer. Once this has dried, use wire to create a head pin and then use the round nosed pliers to make a large loop on the end and slip the clay piece onto the wire. You can add a few beads or other embellishments to the necklace at this point. Make a loop and wrap the wire around itself in order to complete the pendant.
