When most people think of sand art, being able to eat that art is probably the furthest thing from their minds. But the truth is that there are some delicious ideas for sand art creations that you can make in your own kitchen. To make your own edible sand art, you will need to start with a favorite baked food recipe. Brownies or cookies are generally the easiest types of recipes to use when making edible sand art. For each of the edible sand art creations that you plan on making, you will need a glass jar, all of the dry ingredients that are called for in the recipe. You will also need a card that you can write the recipe instructions on and decorative fabric or a bow if you wish. All that you need to do to make an edible baked goods sand jar is to add each of the dry ingredients to the jars one at a time. After each ingredient, smooth out the contents of the jar very carefully with a spoon. Do not shake the jar too much or the ingredients will simply blend together and you will lose your whole sand art look. Because you will not be adding the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, you will need to include the instructions for what additional ingredients are needed and all other directions for baking what you have put into your jar (i.e. oven temperature, time needed to cook, how many cookies/brownies does the batch make, etc.)
