With Easter coming up, there are many fun, Easter-themed crafts that are great fun for kids, teens and adults alike.
These are some fun Easter crafts that teenagers will enjoy doing.
Fuzzy Chicks
These fuzzy little chicks are fun to create and they make great decorations or Easter gifts.
Materials
- Wire-Free Chenille in pastel colors
- Styrofoam Balls
- Small “google” or craft eyes
- Orange and black pipe Cleaners
- Tacky Glue or hot glue gun
Instructions
- Spread a thin coat of glue all around the top of the Styrofoam egg, making sure to cover it completely. Starting in the top middle of the egg, begin to wrap the wire-free chenille around the egg until it is completely covered. If necessary, add more glue.
- Allow to dry, then glue on two craft eyes.
- Cut a 2″ piece of orange pipe cleaner for the beak, fold it in half and push the ends into the egg under the eyes. You can also glue it, if you prefer.
- Cut four 3″ pieces of pipe cleaner for three toes and a leg. The easiest way is to bend one piece around the second piece to make three toes and a leg. Trim to desired length.
- Repeat step 4 to make a second leg, then push the legs into the bottom of the chick.
Pringles Bunny
This creative craft turns a Pringles can as a rabbit’s body.
Materials
- One package of fiberfill
- Empty, clean Pringles canister
- Large craft eyes
- Small black pompom
- Ribbon
- Glue
- Pink and white felt
- Cotton ball
Instructions
- Apply glue to the canister, working on one small section at a time so the glue doesn’t dry. Peel off a layer of the fiberfill and place it over the glue, pressing down gently to ensure that it sticks. Continue working on one section at a time until the entire can is covered.
- When you have finished, add a cotton ball for a tail, two eyes, a black pompom for the nose and a ribbon around the neck.
- Cut rabbit ears out of white and pink felt, making the pink ears slightly smaller. Glue the pink ears on the white ears, then glue the each set of ears on the canister.
Cotton Ball Chicks
These delicate chicken hatchlings are perfect as table decorations or windowsill decorations for Easter.
Materials
- 2 yellow pom-poms or yellow cotton balls
- Half of a clean egg shell
- Small piece of orange craft foam
- 2 craft eyes
- Scissors
- White craft glue
- Wood doll base, the kind used with clothespins, for example
- Pastel colored craft paint
- Paintbrush
Instructions
- Paint the doll base and set aside to dry.
- Making sure that the egg shell is clean and dry, glue the poms-poms inside the egg shell, one atop the other.
- Make a beak out of the craft foam by cutting it into a triangle, then glue on top of the top yellow pom-pom.
- Glue the craft eyes onto the chick.
- Glue the egg shell to the doll base.
- You can also make a number of these to display in an Easter basket with fake Easter grass.
