Born Pablo Ruiz y Picasso on October 25, 1881, in Malaga, Spain, we know him best as Pablo Picasso. He was one of the defining artists of the 20th century. His talent was known when he was young and his parents recognized his profound gift at a young age. He was the co-founder of the Cubist movement and spent most of his adult life in France.
