Welcome to August! Summer went by so fast, and school looms again on the horizon. Enjoy every carefree day while you can! Here are some summery ideas and activities for those last precious days of freedom.
If it is hot where you are, maybe it’s a good time to think about the great state of Alaska, which the United States bought from Russia on August 1, 1868 for the princely sum of $7.2 million dollars.
If you spent the summer pretending to be Harry Potter, here is a Mad-Eye Moody game for you. Or maybe you are more of a Nancy Drew type?
Maybe it’s time to learn to tie-dye …
or take great pictures with your phone?
Origami is also a great summer activity.
Watch the Perseid meteor shower August 12-13, 2013.
Did you know the movie “The Wizard of Oz” was first released on August 25, 1939?
And if all else fails, there are always snacks!
Have fun and we’ll see you on the Net!
