When it comes to collecting treats any child will be delighted with this eight-legged spider tote. You can complete this craft in under an hour.
What you will need:
Scissors
Black poster board or heavy construction paper
Tacky glue
Glitter
Small black plastic plate
2 googly eyes
Two 1-inch black pom-poms
½-inch red pom-pom
Black gift bag
Instructions for the project: You will begin by cutting eight long, tapered legs cut from the black poster board or construction paper. (Keep in mind that the legs should be a couple of inches longer than your gift bag.) Outline the edges of each of the legs with tacky glue, then sprinkle on some glitter (or use glitter glue) and let them dry. Draw the spider’face onto the bottom of the plastic plate using glue and glitter. Glue on the googly eyes and black pom-poms for eyeballs and a red pom-pom nose. Let dry completely. Attach two of the legs to each side of the bag, curving the tops over, then glue the face onto the front. After the glue has dried completely, your spider is ready for a night on the town.
