If you are looking for some inexpensive and easy crafts for your kids this Halloween just head out to your backyard to start the fun. Hunt around for some rocks to paint with fun or spooky Halloween faces.
What you will need:
A round rock that can look like a pumpkin
orange tempura paint
black marker
raffia
3-4 silk leaves
glue gun
3/4″ green pipe cleaners
bits of tissue paper
Instructions for the project: The texture of your rock for the pumpkin can be smooth, bumpy, or even jagged. Before you begin be sure to stand the rock up in the position you would like it to be when your craft is complete. Keep in mind that you can level the rock off using the raffia and tissue. Paint the entire rock orange and let it dry. Using a black marker, draw on the pumpkin’s face. Glue the silk leaves to the bottom of your pumpkin. Using bits of tissue for leveling and bunches of raffia, glue your rock onto a “straw bed”. You can then top off your pumpkin rock with green chenille for the stem by folding in half and gluing on top of pumpkin’s head.
