Sunflower Pin Cushion-Mom will be delighted to keep this pin cushion handy. This also makes a great Mother’s Day craft project, for a classroom.

What you will need:

Directions for the project: Glue green felt onto an empty yogurt container to cover it completely. Cut the  flower petals from any color felt that you choose, however, sunflowers are typically yellow. Glue the petals around the inside edge of the container, so that they are sticking out from the top. Cover the Styrofoam ball with fabric, leaving enough fabric to secure with a rubber band at the bottom. Insert the ball into the cup, rubber band side down, and you are all done! Add a few pins and you are ready to present it to mom.

Apple Berry Wreath-This craft seems a little more complicated, however, it is quite easy to put together. Keep in mind that the berries and apples can be switched out for other types of foliage, fruit or flowers.

What you will need:

Directions for the project: Glue the smaller wreath on top of the larger wreath and let it  dry completely. Carefully glue the moss covering the front and back of the wreaths. Use wire cutters to cut floral picks into 2″ lengths, keeping in mind this is an adult’s job. Apply glue to one end of a wooden pick and poke it into center bottom of an apple. Repeat for each fruit. Put glue on other end of pick and insert it into outside edge of wreath. Continue gluing apples side by side in a row around outside of the wreath. Put berry bunches into wreath, forming a circle just inside the outer circle of apples. Keep switching circles of apples and berries on wreath, ending with apples at inside middle. Bend 10″ length of florist wire in half and twist the ends together. Put ends of wire into top middle back of the wreath to make a hanger. Fix hanger by putting floral pins into the foam over ends of the twisted wires.

Picture box frame-You can use any small box, like a Valentine candy box or a jewelry box, to make this delightful craft.

What you will need:

Directions for the project: Start by painting your box if desired. Carefully cut photo to fit inside the box, and glue into place. Glue a piece of cord and attach it to the back for a hanger. Glue flowers around the outside. If you are using tacky glue, you can use clothes pins to hold the flowers in place while they dry.
