Lanthanum Chloride | Reef2Reef
12 Apr 2025 at 6:02pm
Lanthanum has a certain level of toxicity for the organisms in our aquariums. For instance, a study investigated the toxicity of lanthanum for the embryos of the sea urchin Paracentrotus lividus (Oral et al., 2012). A concentration of 1.38 mg/L did not cause embryo mortality but resulted in developmental defects in all cases.

Just curious: is SC Aquariums out of business? | Reef2Reef

Then, like many other websites, the SC aquariums page has the graphic that allows you to click on icons for mainstream social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest). None of the icons have working links- and on top of that, I couldn?t even find an Instagram account for the company with a separate search effort.

For those who have Cades, do you feel that they're worth the price? I'm looking at an IM 75 and a Cade S2 900. The IM is 1500 and the Cade is 3500. Is the Cade really worth over 2X the IM?

Best/worst aquariums manufactures (what to buy & who to avoid)

I have a 75g now and was thinking I could use the same stand and equipment with a 90 or 110. But before I buy something that looks like a good deal I wanted to hear from folks who have previous experience purchasing larger aquariums. I don't want to come home to 100+ gallons of saltwater and fish on my floor because of a cheap build.

Garden Eels | Reef2Reef

Public aquariums are normally better able to care for these species. One problem is that these fish are extremely shy, retreating into their burrows at the slightest hint of danger. This means that they must typically be kept in very large aquariums (so people viewing them will not be seen as a threat to the eels).

Planet Aquarium vs. Glass Cages... who has the "better" quality, etc...?
12 Apr 2025 at 9:48am
Not to make this more difficult but if you?d like check out CDA (Crystal Dynamic Aquariums) out of California. Very well built tank and stands. I?ve seen a few build threads on here that have used them that are very happy which led me to their site. Mine is sitting in my garage waiting to get into my basement. Good luck with your search.
