But I agree - A Christmas Story, Elf, How the Grinch Stole Christmas - without Christmas, there's no story. Home Alone - not so much. I feel the same way about Christmas songs EVEN IF THEY MENTION CHRISTMAS. Like "Last Christmas" - you could insert any other day, it works the same. I avoid the simple things until something happens to change my mind. After the wind grab my grocery shopping list, and I made a fool of myself chasing it across the parking lot, I will now start putting my list on my phone. Damn wind.

Who cares? How many Academy Awards have Hitchcock, Welles, Kurosawa, Bergman, Kubrick, Fellini and Lumet won? Mel Gibson and Kevin Costner each have one. Same goes with actor and actresses. Dos Arugitas didn't win best song even though it was one of the beautiful songs ever written, I will never watch the Oscars again.

Shopping at the old May D&F on 16th street, then getting lunch in their resteraunt. The mirrors were on opposing walls made it look like it went on forever. Christmas shopping there was fun. The old Fan Fair store on Havana, the strange looking building is still there. Kids liked it because you could ride your bike on the roof.
