This Saturday January 18th from 10:00am to 6:00pm come check out Central Jerseys largest coral show! Andrew Sandler( Polo Reef) will be a guest speaker, he will be talking at 11:00am! 12:30 and 4:30 we have two separate raffles happening!

I was wondering what people's favourite coral dips are? I was planning to to a 2 dip step with the first dip being red sea DipX and then seachem iodine. Wondering if this is a good idea? Saw other people recommend potassium salts dips to (like reef primer). Wondering how this would compare to something like the red sea DipX or other similar dips?

Maintaining the calcium level is one of the most important aspects of coral reef aquarium husbandry. Most reef aquarists try to maintain approximately natural levels of calcium in their aquaria (~420 ppm). It does not appear that boosting the calcium concentration above natural levels enhances calcification (i.e., skeletal growth) in most corals.

Reef tanks are saltwater aquariums that are largely dominated by coral coverage. Corals are photosynthetic organisms that require light, pristine water conditions, and a water flow to survive. Depending on the type of coral you will choose for your reef tank, depends on how much light and water flow they need to survive.
