I think this is simply because I have to assume FF has implemented the weather-radar in preparation of the true functionalities that should come soon, resulting in some limitatiins for now. Fo example I also noticed that I get a weather-response and only when using Tilt -2 or close to it, wheter I am climbimg or descending.

Weather radar is working to the extent of the weather API of X-Plane 12 - Keep in mind that XP12 is still in very early stages of development and many fixes and feature upgrades are coming. First of is a new wind and icing update. Also, weather radar pics up moisture not physicle form of clouds which strangely many think.

I also use just XP built in real weather. There are so many doifferent levels of this issue. Art Assets Source of real weather information Software to control what is displayed Upper level winds and turbulence information Display of precipitation (logic and art assets) Hawkeye

Sometime ago some users couldn't see the weather at Toliss. So I configured manually and set heavy rain with thunderstorms using Xplane native weather. It worked and the weather radar showed results. Try using SYS 1 or either SYS 2 on WX radar panel. Here is a link to other topic that was opened a while ago, here you may find some solutions:

so - since I was a bit disappointed with the weather representation in XP11 - I switched to the "sightseeing simulator" in the meantime (in parallel - and now of course back to XP12) because the promises regarding the weather were very interesting and for me the weather and the influence of the weather (in addition to the flight physics, among ...

For the record, only X-Plane's live weather is supposed to work. If you use any kind of custom weather or a weather plugin, this wasn't ever supported in AviTab. According to Discord, the live weather service was down over the weekend. Maybe try again and see if live weather is enabled successfully? Edited September 4, 2023 by Folko

Hello, why weather radar doesn't work with any different weather plugin than default one? currently using NOAA to get the weather in real time but it makes me belive that the aircraft weather radar doesn't work with it. Is there any other plugin showing real world data that actually works with toliss's radar? Thanks

Same issue for me. Since a few days no weather with xEnviro. I tried all options suggested in this thread. Removing the .prf file and typing in my registration data again does not get it out of activation mode. So I restored the original xenviro.prf and now it shows in the "about" that I am registered including my serial. Still no weather.

The video showed integration with Airbus and Boeing, but I wonder if it will eventually make its way to other planes that have weather radars. Just from memory, but I think the Citation X and possibly the King Air have them. Probably the MD-82 as well.
