    John Lennon (9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) was an English musician and songwriter who rose to fame as one of The Beatles. After two decades of worldwide fame, he was shot to death by a deranged fan in front of his New York city apartment building. His music lives on.

John's official site includes a biography written by music-critic Anthony DeCurtis (of Rolling Stone magazine), a discography of his work after The Beatles as a solo artist and with Yoko Ono, a photo gallery, and a small collection of music videos.
