On Tuesday, September 11, 2001, nineteen al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four commercial jets and crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York, and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Including the first responders (such as firefighters, police officers and paramedics) nearly 3,000 people died in the attacks. As the twentieth anniversary approaches, it is time to reflect on the tragedy and remember the fallen.
