Influenza, also known as the flu, is a viral infection marked by fever, headaches, muscle aches and a cough. Flu season runs from November to March, with a flu vaccine available in early fall. In the US, influenza kills tens of thousands of people. Experts are warning us that is it especially important to get a flu shot this year during the Covid-19 epidemic in order to reduce the number of serious flu cases that end up in the hospital.
