Google is rolling out a new Google Wallet feature that allows Gmail users to send money to other Google Wallet users with an email message. Both parties must have Google Wallet accounts, and although the sender must have a Gmail account, the recipient does not have to use a Gmail address. Transfers from a Wallet balance or a linked checking account are free. Payments made with a linked credit card are subject to a 2.9% fee paid by the sender. If you are both a Google Wallet and Gmail user, start looking for the $ icon in your Compose Message panel, when mousing over the + icon that sits next to the attachment paperclick icon.
