The American Express Spending & Savings Tracker released last month showed that nine in ten parents expected to spend about $1151 for back-to-school purchases. Wow!
In addition to the back-to-school spending survey, American Express also asked 2,033 adults, “What is the appropriate age for parents to purchase a mobile phone for their children?” On average, the answer was 12.
