The second thing that you need to teach your children to help keep them safe is that if they are using an online gaming feature like live voice chat or something similar than they really shouldn’t talk to people that they don’t know, basically they want to make sure that they are only talking to friends and relatives with this device. But even if they only add people they know you never know when you will find somebody else using somebody’s account so if they are getting harassed or if somebody is bothering them they should place that person on ignore or block them so they can no longer communicate with them.

The next thing that we need to do as parents to keep our kids safe is to teach our children that they should not send any material that has sensitive or private content. This is due to the fact that the nature of the Internet and computers causes data flow to pass through many computers in numerous places, so you can not be sure that the information you are sending is secure.

But the most important thing that you as a parent can do to help keep your kids safe online is to teach them about basic Internet safety and make sure that your children know they can come to when something is wrong. You want your child to feel that they can talk to you about things without them feeling like you are going to over react to what is going on.

Something else that we can do as parents to help keep our kids safe while they are playing games online is to look into the websites that our children are using. Many websites have safety features that are designed to protect kids, but then you have some other websites that don’t have these features which means that your children are not protected. So as a concerned parent you are going to want to make sure that the websites that your children are playing games on protects them in as many ways as possible.
Tip Six:
You also need to talk to your children about the various things they can do if they feel that they are being stalked or harassed. This will help to ensure that your child is not taken advantage of while they are playing games online and that even if they don’t feel comfortable talking to you that they can still go to another adult about what is going on. There are also groups that are made up of other children who they can go to for help.
Tip Seven:
But another important thing that we need to do besides teach our children basic Internet safety is to keep up with what our children are doing and who they are talking to. As a parent you probably know all of your child’s whereabouts and friends in the real world so why should the online gaming world be any different?
