Name cards can be indispensable during your Thanksgiving dinner. This craft solves the problem of name cards and is also fun for children. It requires the following materials: paper napkins (in a fall color) small apple, small paper clips, an almond and peanut in their shells, a Lifesaver candy, colored paper, 2 attachable eyes (the kind that wiggles when you shake them) and hot glue. Here’s what you do:
.Hold the almond (point down) and glue the eyes on the rounded part (the almond is the face of the turkey). Let glue dry.
.Next, glue the Lifesaver onto the front of apple (facing you) and let it dry.
.Then, with the glue, stick the almond to the life saver (covering the hole, point down) and let dry.
.Now, glue the peanut below almond for turkey gobbler. Set aside.
.Unfold the napkin half way, then fold it accordion style.
.Put a paper clip in the center of the folded napkin.
.Pull the ends of the folded napkin together to make a fan. Secure it with a paper clip at the top. Set the napkin behind turkey.
.Unbend end of one paper clip and insert into apple.
.Use the colored paper to make a name card.
.Use the inserted paper clip to hold place card.
