You can charm your Valentine with this special piece of homemade jewelry. You can have some darling Love Bead in under an hour.
What you will need:
Soft sculpting clay (available at art supply or craft stores)
Aspic or tiny cookie cutters
Toothpick
Thin cording or string
Safety pin
Instructions for the project: If you wish to make symmetrical hearts, use the side of a pen to roll flat a lump of clay to about 1/8-inch thick. Cut out pieces with a heart-shaped aspic or cookie cutter. For free-form hearts you can use your fingers to form or coil individual bits of clay. You may even want to swirl together multiple colors. Use a toothpick to make a hole in a corner of each bead and then bake hearts according to package directions. After baking you can then string the beads into a necklace, coat pin or key chain.
