This fun craft to do with your kids that only involves cutting lovely little hearts out of construction paper.
What you will need:
Construction paper (various colors)
Scissors
Glue
Crayons
A paper plate
Instructions for the project:
Cut the center out of the paper plate to leave a round “dough nut” shape as the base of your wreath. Keep in mind that this may require adult assistance. Carefully fold a piece of construction paper in half or in 1/4s for young crafters, folding in half is challenging enough more experienced crafters may want to fold 3 or 4 times to make hearts in “bulk”. After the paper is folded cut a half heart shape out of the construction paper along the folded edge. Just unfold the cut out shape and you will have a perfect little heart. Continue to repeat this process many times(as you get better, you can make 2 or three hearts at once simply by folding your paper more times). You can then glue your construction paper hearts to completely cover your paper plate “dough nut”. After completely covering the base you can tie a bow on as a finishing touch. To hang your wreath simply attach a piece of yarn on the back to hang it.
