Step One- Cut out a butterfly template.
Step two-You can then choose to print the template onto card stock, or cut out the template and have your children trace around it onto colored paper. Then you can then cut out the butterfly pattern and spots for the wings.
Step Three-Cut the slots in the butterfly for the candy-stick body.
Step Four- Then carefully open the wings and weave the candy stick down into one slit and up through the other.
Step Five-To make the antennae, gently wind the pipe cleaner tightly around one end of the candy stick so that two equal lengths extend upward and then curl the ends.
Step Six-Decorate your butterfly with the dots and write your message on the back.
